Euro Cup 2012

On June eighth, the Euro Cup will start with two Group A games (Poland V. Greece, Russia V. Czech Republic).  The Cup is hosted this year by Poland and Ukraine, and the matches will be played in stadiums in both countries.  The official ball for the 2012 Euro Cup is the Adidas Tango 12, which is similar to the 2012 World Cup Jabulani, but is said to be more reliable.  The team that looks the best coming out of the friendlies is Spain (the winner of the last Euro and World Cup), but if Germany gets their act together for the real tournament games, they also have a chance at the cup.

Women's World Cup Big Flop for Germany :(

Hello, and sorry I haven't posted for a while.  I'm really bummed about the WWC final; I now have a hate list of three teams:
Italy men's international,
Spain men's international, (sorry Magda)
Japan women's international.

On  a different note, I need some suggestions for making money so I can buy myself an iTouch.  Any suggestions?
Thanks and bye,
~Grace

Women's World Cup Continues....

Ranking   Team

1USA USA

2Germany Germany

3Brazil Brazil

4Japan Japan

5Sweden Sweden

6Canada Canada

7France France

8Korea DPR Korea DPR

9Norway Norway

10England England

Here you see the top 10 woman's international teams. (For the full top 50 list visit http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/ranking/lastranking/gender=f/fullranking.htmlAll of them are currently competing in the Women's World cup tournament this summer and are all ready to bring home the cup.  Add comments with predictions on winners, and, if you want, a full predicted bracket of who will proceed into the knockout stage, etc. (As you might already know, we are deep into the group stage already, with Japan and France  reigning with the highest goal differential (4).  Champion of the last two cups Germany is playing France tomorrow, which is sure to be a good game.  So far, Germany has won all of their games, but their goal differential has been quite low: 1 in the first and second game, versus Frances' 1 in the first game and 4 in the second.  Tomorrow's game will decide a lot for both Germany and France: Who will win?

Thoughts on Soccer

I'm excited because beginning on June 11 (next Saturday) and ending on July 11 is the Women's World Cup!  Now, last summer was the regular (men's) world cup, which was very exciting, but unfortunately Spain won and they are evil (they beat Germany in the semis).  The 2006 world cup (the only other world cup I remember every detail of, despite the fact that I have been alive for many World Cups) was also a good one, but once again Germany was beaten in the semis by the team that proceeded to win the world cup-- this time Italy. :P At any rate, the Germany women's team is even stronger and is a great contender for the cup (as you can tell, I like Germany, for unknown reasons- I'm not German.)

Random thought for the day: Solitaire is fun.

Invention(s) of the day: Card shuffler and Book Holder.  The card shuffler shuffles your cards for you to guarantee a good game every time.  The book holder holds your book up for you when you want to read but are doing something using your hands at the same time, such as eating.  The book holder also obeys spoken commands, such as "Turn page!" or "go to page 34" or "go to the last page so I can read the ending", etc.
